Cute chick …

Ahhhh finally, we’ve reached a point where were satisfied with the multi-player mode! So what’s next? We think it’s about time we make an single player mission mode. One problem, or actually lots of problems! How do you make up a story line, witch character plays where, who’s stats do you use and most important, who are the enemies! All options are open so if you’ve got any idea about the enemies please let us know :)

Character Sprites

At this point all playable characters are colleagues of ours. Creating them was really fun! It’s incredibly difficult to get the characteristics and expressions in these low res faces. Until now all worked out really well. Here I’ll post the sprites of the characters used in the game. You can create your own one if you feel like it. I suggest you try to keep the animation as basic as possible since the frame’s in the game are based on these movements. Creating Characters can be a time consuming job but its well worth it! Hope you enjoy them.

Well you came to the right place. Smash Battle, a game based on the famous Mario battle from Super Mario Bros 3 on the good old NES. The game is simple yet very addictive. Fight your way through several missions to unlock secret characters. Battle with one, two or even three friends in the multiplayer mode to show of your old and dusty game skillz.

Smash Battle is completely free and will run on almost any computer with Windows XP, Vista or Linux. Of course you can also dive into the code since it’s fully Open Source. So please contribute to the code if you feel like it! On this blog we will try to update you about the progress Smash Battle is going through. For now the game has finally reached it’s first release. V1.0 is now available in the download section. GO CHECK IT OUT!
